We are supported by a team of dedicated volunteers. From our board of trustees to volunteer legal advisers, each volunteer is crucial to the operations of North East Law Centre!
Legal Aid cuts have led to considerable justice gaps across society and in our communities. A consequence of this is that many people who need to access legal advice and services are left unsupported. North East Law Centre provides free services across several areas of law, to as many people as possible. Our volunteers enable us to increase the provision of our services, and access to justice across our communities. We currently have volunteers supporting us in Employment Law, Family Law, Education Law and Welfare Benefits. Without our volunteers we wouldn't be able to offer the range of support that we do.
We are actively looking to recruit a number of volunteer lawyers who are willing to assist with our pro bono projects in Newcastle and the North East. We have a range of projects covering a wide range of categories of law including Education, Welfare Benefits, and Employment, but we welcome enquiries from anyone looking to support in any area of law.
